Exploring a collective model for VCS contracting with Skills and employability funders in the North East

As funding opportunities change and public sector organisations dictate larger, fewer projects there needs to be a mechanism to ensure local, small VCS organisations have the opportunity to contribute to the changing environment and continue to provide a valuable service to their community.

New Skills Consulting are working with the sector to identify a delivery mechanism.  This model is currently being refined and developed.  Please follow the link to find out more, and how you can become involved.  http://www.vonne.org.uk/policy/regeneration/skills&employabilitycontractinghub/

Locally, Julia Lyford and Lynda Watson are members of the Task & Finish group set up to progress the idea into a reality.  Please do get in touch if you wish to discuss this further.
