Current Opportunities
Commissioning Plans - Department for Work and Pensions, National Offender Management Service and the Skills Funding Agency
If you are interested in delivering skills and employability services to those hardest to reach in this region then draft commissioning plans drawn up by DWP, NOMS and the Skills funding Agency will be of interest to you. The draft plans can be downloaded at www.vonne.org.uk/policy/policy_article.php?id=1096 from the bottom of the page.
The draft plans will be finally agreed by the ESF committee after 19th May. If you would like to feed any comments on the draft plans contact Jo.curry@vonne.org.uk by 12 noon on 19th May.
Young People's Guarantee
This overall programme is to provide a range of support for unemployed 18-24 year olds. The tender is for the provision of Level 2 or 3 work-related NVQ qualifications, delivered over a short period. NLEAP is interested in hearing from any providers who would be interested in a partnership bid focussing on providing skills for working in the community. We can email the full specification.
Provider Information re WNF
The original focus for partnership bids for employability work was the Working Neighbourhoods Fund in July 2009, which sought applications to deliver a range of empoyability services.
A number of VCS organisations expressed an interest in sharing information, which remains of use for future collaboration.
