Further information on NHS North of Tyne public consultations
At the interim LINk meeting held on 12th June 2008, it was requested by some of the transitional steering group members to set up a LINk task group meeting to respond to the NHS North of Tyne public consultations.
A meeting has been arranged for 10a.m.-1p.m. on Thursday 17th July 2008, at Choppington Social Welfare Centre.

A new Direction of travel for urgent healthcare in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland
NHS North of Tyne is inviting the public to respond to their draft Urgent Care strategy. The consultation will run for 3 months until 25th July, 2008. The full urgent care strategy document may be downloaded from NHS North of Tyne website at www.northoftyne.nhs.uk/urgentcare

Improving access to G.P. and community health services in Northumberland
Under a national review into the NHS, undertaken by Professor Lord Ara Darzi, it has been recommended that Northumberland will have a new health centre. To decide where this centre should be based in Northumberland, NHS North of Tyne is holding a public consultation until 5th August 2008.
